About Harrier Conservation International

Harrier Conservation International

As a non-profit organisation, we are dedicated to building a global network of researchers, conservationists, and farmers committed to the protection of harriers — elegant birds of prey that symbolize the delicate balance between nature and agriculture.

Harriers guide us toward the knowledge we need to safeguard not only their own survival, but also the future of the diverse landscapes they inhabit. By protecting these birds, we also protect the rich mosaic of habitats they depend on — habitats that thrive best in harmony with sustainable farming practices.

Through close collaboration with local and international partners, we work to align land use — whether agricultural or natural — with the needs of harriers and other farmland birds. We believe that independent, science-based research is essential in informing effective and lasting conservation strategies.

Equally important is sharing the wonder of harriers with a wider audience. By raising awareness and fostering appreciation for these graceful birds and the ecosystems they represent, we hope to inspire collective action for a more balanced and biodiverse world.
