Raised in rich farmland and already interested in black-tailed godwits, skylarks and partridges. After a successful career as a businessman, he decided to pick up his old hobby again and joined Dutch Montagu’s Foundation in 2006, where he was also treasurer from 2007-2011. Has made numerous trips to Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali and Senegal and played an important role in the diet research of the Harriers during those years. Saw roosts there with thousands of Marsh and Montagu’s harriers as well.
Is currently active to start a project together with the counting group Engbertsdijkvenen around Harriers in this raised moor area with a NATURA2000 status.
